Roland's GK PUP is polyphonic, not to mention the fact that you can assign virtually any number of sounds to each string. On the GR units, I believe it's only 2 sounds per on board patch (+ additional COSM modeled sounds on the newer GR55), but if routing out from a GR unit to your midi keyboard or soft synths: endless.
