Build spec: to build a bass out of scraps as cheaply as possible by someone who doesn't really have much idea of what he is doing.

It is a bass banjo primarily constructed from what was probably a verandah post and a castrol oil can. 5 strings (EAGDC). Its was meant to look "hand made" and rough as.

I think it probably cost me about $50 all up in bits and pieces and the only musical instrument bits are the 5 strings, 2 peizo elements and the output jack. And sounds much better than it looks. The bulk of the $50 is in the peice of recycled wood and the strings most stuff was just laying around in my or my dad's garage.
