bass cab that will work for guitar too

I don't think you want a cabinet with tweeters for use with a guitar. I use my SVT-810e or a pair of SVT-15e with guitar and bass. They both sound great with either guitar or bass. My Micro VR stack works great with either guitar or bass also.

yeah you don't want tweeters for guitar they sound horrible with distortion. same with bass It's a octave lower and even then it's horrible too.

unfortunately the solution is very expensive and fender figured it out long long time ago. And speaker company's to this day still try to emulate the speaker eminence just came out with a neo that tries to do it.

but do you know what is famous for pedal steel guitarist? do you know fender Had the market and later peavey took over the market with the black widow and scorpion drivers. lol what fender combo is famous for steel guitar players and guitar clean tone. the hundred watt twin. well those poopy open back 10" don't do justice for bass do they? nope they don't. well the head
vversion is called the dual showman reverb. why is it called the dual showman? it had a different output transformer designed to run two not one ...two 2x15 cabinets. 15" you say!!! Lol those are muddy in slow. no son lol ask a steel player the best speaker ever made. jbl d130 that 15 has more high-end than anything made lol. it will flatten any poopy g12 loaded Marshall any day. Then all the stupids say a d130 that thing doesn't handle any power blah blah blah. a 10" speaker = 93db a d 130 = 105db yes 105dB and it has highend that goes way past 5k. now put 2 of them in 2x15 that's 108db. but wait you forgot the " dual" part remember two not one 2x15 cabinets. so add another cab your at 111freaking db. yes and trust me 4x15 will do 100watts allllll day. it does bass it does guitar and yes fender figured it out before most y'all were born. And yes the black widow was very much going after the jbl speakers. the basket even looks almost the same. And yes even to this day eminence is trying to copy it.....nope nice try no go

Guitar speakers are purposely made to distort with as little power as possible, bass speakers are the exact opposite, so unless you like your guitar tone pristine clean or your bass tone grungily dirty there's no one speaker that will do both well.

Phil Lesh from the Greatful Dead used this setup in concert. I still remember the tone of that Fender/JBL combo..I first saw them in the Auditorium Theater in Chicago with this setup...very impressive.

Whatever it is, you want a full range 15 (or an insane amount of 10s that are more on the "guitar" side). My EVM 15B Pro loaded 1x15 sounds AMAZING with guitar. Obviously the sound is a little different than what you will get out of a Celestion 12 or something, but great nonetheless.

I'd advise you to try out any neo's before you buy. I bought a pair of Delta neo 12s from a guiitarist that them and thought they sounded horrible for guitar and he plays with a totally clean sound.

I love 'em for bass, but haven't tried them for guitar.

Why must it be the same cab? I have two old Traynor tube amps, one a "bass" amp and the other a "guitar" amp. I use them both for bass and for guitar, but, whichever amp I use, I use a proper vented bass cab for bass and an open back 1x12 for guitar. It needn't take a lot of space or money to have proper cabs for each.

The only cabinet that I've heard that sounded okay for guitar and bass (although not ideal for either one) is the Traynor YBA-3 8 x10 bottom. I guess those old Fender Dual Showman bottoms might work too.

EV used to make 2 x 10 and 4 x 10 cabs thst had good response to 7 kHz without tweeters that might work okay for guitar.Most everything I'm familiar with would work okay with one or the other but not both

The "why"...I'm doing a major downsizing, as much about life in general as bass. Trying to really simplify things. I do a lot of target shooting and am really realizing I don't need 14 guns. There are 4 that I actually use. Similarly, a P Bass and a strat is all I really play so I've whittled down to that. Heck I've even been considering getting a Bass VI and only having that. So the next logical step seemed to be 1 amp instead of 2. Especially since bass is the only thing I really gig with. Rarely do I play guitar outside the house. That said, playing guitar through my GK MB112 is less than ideal. Yes sound comes out but certainly doesn't sound like a blues deluxe.

What guitar head do you have? How large of a venue do you play bass? Maybe something like the 59 Bassman, a tube amp with 50 watt duet of output tubes into a 4x10 cab? It was originally sold as a bass rig but now is favored by guitarists.
