I hope this pedal will make an impact and will make companies change and reinvent the bass wah. When i think about it i see many new sounds and pedals going smaller for many effects but somehow the popular wah got left behind.

I can't wait to hear this little guy. The Dunlop 105q does it's job quite well, but if this is just as throaty and syrupy as the 105q, the space saved will be worth it IMO. Please report back should you get one!

I have a Gig-FX Subwah and I like it a lot. Better voiced than the Dunlops, I do believe, plus it has an envelope filter and autowah built in. The demo videos do not do it justice!

I'm *really* hoping the delay before the effect disengages after taking your foot off the pedal can be adjusted. I set my 105Q to have no delay (turns off instantly)--if this pedal doesn't have the same option, it's a no-go for me.

The form factor does seem cool though, I like the concept!

I got mine Monday from MusicGearFast. I love it. It is literally tiny! The bonus, it sounds great. The fact that it sounds great and fits on my Pedaltrain Mini means my EBS is headed to the classifieds.

Is there a noticeable delay/volume drop when the wah disengages? Is there an internal trim pot?

Also, how dirty does the gain knob get?

The gain knob is more of a character knob than a dirt knob--less gain gives a drier sound, and turning up the gain warms it up (and at very high settings, can make it a little "greasy"). It does not fuzz up the signal, though with the available volume boost, you can drive an amp with it if you so desire. Any level changes from active to inactive will vary in respect to how the output level is set. There are no adjustments inside the pedal listed in the manual, nor did I notice any when I had it open. The auto-disengage timer is quick, roughly the same as manually switching a traditional wah off.

It didn't sound quick at all in the video, unfortunately. I just don't understand why switchboard wah makers like to insist on those artificial delays before the effect goes off.

So I stumbled upon Invalid Link Removed video while looking for some details about the bass chi-wah-wah.

While it isn't a fantastic demonstration of the pedal and all of its capabilities, it is at least something! I'm sure the whole thread would be much obliged if anybody who has one of these things would record some clips with various settings!

I've been meaning to do some clips since I got mine (I've had it for weeks now), but time has been elusive. I'll try to do some soon, and I'll do one that includes a demo of the disengage delay.

You can get a feel for the disengage delay from the video I posted above. It doesn't seem too bad, in my opinion! Certainly a fair compromise for the ability to get "instant-on" wah-ing... assuming the buffer preserves one's clean tone better than the 105Q!
