Years ago, I had a natural finish "Bass Collections" bass. Had the P/J pick-up set up. It was fretless as well. Light weight, played like butter. I'm looking for another one. E-Bay has a similar one made by "Titan", but it's very cheap. But it looks identical to the Bass Collections model. Anyone know or have any info on the Bass Collections basses?

The "real" Bass Collection were made by SGC Nanyo in Japan. They went out of business a couple of years ago. There are a couple of copies available but I don't think they'll be any close to SGC Bass Collection's quality.

Interestingly SGC made the first Bass Collection as a copy of a Tune bass :)

The builders of the original Bass Collection are now building Godlyke basses (www.godlyke.com), but they're very expensive.

If you want an original one you need to dig the used market. One is almost always available in my country.

I had two of them BTW, sold them because they were too hi-fi for my taste. Extraordinary basses nevertheless...
