The Animato is available in Japan. You can get them on the used market or brand new. Generally you will need to pay a small fee to an exporter to handle the deal for you. I use Invalid Link Removed.

Just find the Animato for sale on a site like digimart.net, e-mail Jesse the link and he will buy it for you and ship it over for a small fee.
