Bass flangers any suggestions?

I had one and sold it like the next day. For me, it was just terrible. My BF-3 is a fraction of the size and does 5 times as much. It literally laughed it off my board. For me and my bass sounds and needs, it was probably the most over priced, over rated pedal I've ever used. And I think it's 18 volts. For all that power and that big of size...:scowl:
I think Nad likes it though. Goes to show you never can tell.
I use the MXR EVH Flanger, and I use the EVH setting. I personally like it because its pretty subtle on bass, but the effect still gets across.
The Invalid Link Removed is a really nice sounding flanger/chorus. Not specifically a bass unit but it does the warm Anthony Jackson thing really well.
More love for the BF-3 from me! It does subtle to over-the-top, it has a gate/pan setting, it has a momentary setting...lots of cool options with that pedal.
+1 for the BF-3. I've had mine just over a year and I still love it. So many options and so many different ways to use it. It's a great sound all around.

Does a flanger need to be specifically "voiced" for bass?
Are there any bass-specific controls required?
I am sure that Bob Chidlwaw has his views, but I am also curious for the TB take on it.
We have had a handful of bass fans of our old Tri-Mod Flanger (Dan Kurtz, for instance), but not many and I sometimes wonder why.

My BF-3 is my favorite pedal hands down. I like the more hi-fi sound of it better than the BF-2.
EBS UniChorus. It's both a chorus and a flanger; both sound awesome!
I have been struggling with finding one pedal to have both flange and chorus effect. Would rather not have to buy two pedals. I also hear that the MXR M117 can replicate some chorus sounds also. Other than the EBS and the MXR are there any other Flangers that have a decent amount of chorus characteristic? I am building a small pedalboard and real estate spaceis limited.
I agree. They're great on bass if you can find one. Also gets a decent chorus sound.

i can't go past my bf-2 for analog flange goodness. i run it in a loop though, cause the bypass is tragic.
