I'm looking to build my own rack mounted head or so to speak

I know to power it all I'll need a power amp
into a preamp then through anything else Id want correct me if I'm wrong please?

I was wondering can a normal pa power amp be used or will I need a specific power amp for it, E.G. a bass power amp like a Trace Elliot or something

Also http://www.thomann.de/gb/prod_zoom_AR_163886.html is this a suitable preamp ? or will i need different ?

    Thanks

That pre-amp will get you started. Any GOOD PA amp will work. If you get a real cheapie, dont expect it to work like a QSC or Crown... but NO you dont need an Eden or Ampeg power amp.
