Supposedly inside the f-hole, there should be a single letter and two digit number stamp.

This is separate from the normal serial number (which is the model w/ some other numbers).

Usually an "f" or a "s" followed by a 66 or 64, ect. That would be the first or second half of whatever year methinks.
