Double Bass Bass in a case on a stand?

I routinely store my bass, in its Tuff Bag case, on an Ingles (or Ingles-style) stand. Mind you, it’s in my office, where my wife rarely ventures and our pets aren’t allowed.

Yes, it's a simple thing to do. I do it all the time after dragging my bass in after a gig. For me, making sure the neck of the bass is snug in the "neck holder" and then I close the "neck retainer" onto the bass bag for added security. Easy and painless. Ingles stand.

Ok cool, I was hesitant to to put the neck in the holder with the case in it but if you’re doing it, I’ll have to give it another shot.

...to be clear, the "neck retainer" doesn't close, it just pinches things tighter for added peace of mind.

That's why I use a bungee cord to keep the neck in place... Not too tight, just enough to hold it there.

Yeah. I've "roped" in the basses, too. Especially on my first bass stand, you know the kind without any retaining capability.
