Bass inspired name for a dog.

About five years ago I was attempting to find a suitable cocker spaniel through the Rocky Mountain Cocker Spaniel Rescue in Denver. They notified me of a male that was being surrendered to them by a family who had found him on their front porch. He had apparently been running around Denver loose for quite a while. They asked me if I would mind driving down there from my home in Ft. Collins to pick him up as they had no representatives from the rescue available to do it that day. They had not actually seen him or processed him yet. I somehow felt that this was the right doggy for me and wanted to have a name for him picked out by the time I met him. I was stumped! Couldn't decide on a suitable name and had to get going pretty quickly! I turned around and saw my Carvin bass amp. Carvin!! Perfect! I found out shortly thereafter that the rescue had a tentative name picked for him but that it wasn't official yet. They chose Duke! Glad we dodged that bullet! I could have just as easily chosen Beringer or Peavey as I have both of those bass cabs also! Carvin is in the center of the photo. Freckles to the right was also adopted from the same rescue a month later and I got a third cocker a few months after that.
I just picked up a new guinea piggy last week. Also a rescue animal! She already had a name and she will retain it. But after reading all of these bass related doggy names I might have named her "Ampster!" I crack myself up.
If I were getting a Boxer or a bulldog, I'd name him "Rumbles". If I were getting a small dog, I might name him "Spanky" or "Popper". Too bad I didn't think of naming my little Yorkie some kind of bass name. I named him "Bawitdabadebangybangdiggy-diggy". I just call him "Diggy" for short. Heheheheee.
We had a dog named Geezer, for Geezer Butler.

My attention span only got me as far as Page 5, where I finally saw the one I had in mind: "THUMPER". Lots of support for "PJ" too, I notice, which would be my #2. Anyone experienced with dogs will recommend that you don't go more than two syllables.
A word to the wise: please understand that going for a Jack Russell comes with a strong probability that the animal will be smarter than you and most of the folks you know - so be warned. And finally, opting for a rescue mutt, as opposed to a 'brand name' dog would be such a good thing for you - and the dog.
