Bass iOS apps?

i'm about to pick up the Irig 2 and was wondering what you all have found to be the best apps to use? Hear good things about amplitube but wondering what's out there for drum patterns ( ideally that allows you to write your own beats / sounds )
And any other general advice y'all have.....anyone using this stuff live out there?

I don't use apps to change my sound, so I may miss the point, but I always have my Ipad handy because it's a great tuner (Cleartune), and metronome (Tempo) as well as "on the fly" recorder (Quickvoice). I also use it to write lyrics and sheet music. I've fiddled with effects on the Ipad but I'm more comfortable with an actual stompbox. Psychological limitations.

I'll check out the metronome and tuners you mention for sure ( thanks )
I'm looking for maybe some tube /amp emulators for live playing and the ability to track and share recordings so I can collaborate with players all over the place
Keep the ideas coming all, and I'll try and update what I'm finding if I come across useful apps

I'm one of those that use jamup and amplitube live all the time.
With the right interface and a little bit of time you can dial in any tone that you are looking for for any situation and mix.
Check out the thread and I know it's extensively vast as we are about to tread into the 8th thread. Come on in and ask any question someone will be more than happy to answer. I'm sure your questions have been asked before but it's fine. Just jump in at the present and go back and read at you convenience.

Just got my irig2 in the mail , so I'm going to start messing around with some free apps to see where I want to invest some $$
Do you guys know of any places where bass players are collaborating via sound files ?

On the iOS bass players thread we had two contests one was a song writing contest using only ios gear (apart from real instuments of course but there were virtual instruments used too...like synths keys and drums etc.) we all paired up and worked as teams to write and record the songs. We used email and soundcloud and Dropbox apps to send tracks and ideas back and forth. It was very interesting and fun.
Bass gear mag. And just strings .com got involved and had a few prizes for the top two winning teams. Good contest.

There are other players other than the bass on the thread or at least there used to be too.

What kind of collaboration are you looking for? I can ask around.

Hey man, sorry for the long delay , I've been off the grid for a bit messing around with the iOS apps I have so far.
I was looking for something exactly like you are describing. Pretty much just sharing ideas via file exchanges to see what we can come up with.
Are there fourums out there you know of that are still doing that?
