So ya I'm thinking I have a big problem,in the last nine months I have bought eight bass guitars, four 4 strings 3 5 ERs and one frettles 5er.im blaming it on the evils of eBay,by the way one of my fours was one I built that was fun,and it turned out to be a very sweet bass, anyway I was just wondering is there any one else out there with this problem?if so let me hear about it so I don't feel so guilty about my addiction.thanks

I'm sitting here reading this as I am playing the same bass I've owned for 32 years (bought it used, restored it last year - still my primary axe).

As long as you have the bread - but what else would you be doing if you weren't buying so many - vacation, save for retirement, buy something sexy for your SO ... who knows?

Well in that case, as long as you've got your priorities in order, it's no big deal.

However, the relationship is also important. If the ol' lady is not happy, it's very important to have a conversation and work on a mutual agreement or compromise.
Yes, I agree.
One such compromise is only buying a new bass every time she buys a new pair of shoes or a new purse. I think that should be more than fair. Point out to her, like playing a bass one at a time, she can only also use only 1 pair of shoes or 1 purse at a time. Appeal to her logic.
I admit I have not tried it myself, but it should work. Report back in and maybe we can all benefit from my plan based on your exercise of it.

Please, no kudos needed for my wisdom.
