once i had a pdf downloaded from a forum, i'll send you a link with p.m soon after my studies or i can share the link here with everybody if the forum gives permission,it has funky cool bass lines. or listen to music everytime, i mean non-stop it helps you to improvise, and go on with the groove when you're playing belive me after a while you'll start to improvise funky as hell

you can play "Sex in a pan" by Victor Wooten
or "Frankenstein" by Marcus Miller
enterance of the "Mr.pink" by Mark King is awsome too

there are some songs of "Barış Manço" his song's bass lines goes really cool too like a song of his calles "Dönence" the main intrument is the bass in this song "Invalid Link Removed" begining starts slowly, then a repeating section and there is a bass solo.
you can try some songs of Motörhead, "Hellraiser" or "You better run" can be good.

How about learning some blues chord progressions? Then you can play about a million songs, giver or take one or two.

I had fun learning "Heard it Through the Grapevine", the Marvin Gaye version.

Very melodic bassline, but has nice simple patterns, and it even sounds good as a (very simple) bass solo. Had fun funking it up as well.

During one practice, our lead guitarist started playing something that sounded like Grapevine, so I busted in with the bassline, drummer joined in with a workable beat... but the rhythm guitarist could only stand there since he didn't know the chords, and it's kinda hard to call out those Invalid Link Removed on the fly... so we never really played it again In hindsight, I guess we could just have transposed up and simplified to two chords, but it wouldn't have sounded right...

Definitely jam along with the stuff you're listening to, it'll help a ton.

And "I want to hold your hand" by the Beatles is very easy/simple but still a very cool bassline that I enjoy playing a lot.
