I can't wait for my Valenti. I've built basses myself from Warmoth parts and can vouche for the quality that Warmoth delivers. Couple that with Nino's attention to detail, and that is the sweet combination delivering GREAT basses at reasonable prices. <bonus>Plus, he's a great guy.</bonus>

I can say it's not Ibanez. And that we don't have any connection to Sadowsky (any more), Lakland, or most of the other companies we're commony suspected of supplying.

And Nino rocks.

And AJ - is the Valenti you have on order the Lake Placid Blue 5-string I saw in here a while back? Looked great when I saw it!

edit: I should probably hush up now and stop hijacking Nino's thread. Suffice to say we make a lot of stuff, some of it for other brands I'm not allowed to talk about. Peace.

Build? Assemble? What's the difference? :) Personally, I think builder fits better.

Also, I don't recall anyone having feelings of shame about what I do. :)

i emailed Anthony a while back to see about prices and options. he seemed very helpful and intertested, not to mention quick to answer me. Unfortunitly, i didn't have th cash right then and after i told him that, he stopped answering my emails. it's been about 3 months now and i haven't gotten any kind of responce from him. i WAS interested in him building two basses at once for me. Now, i think i'll do it myself. he is a nice guy and i'm sure his instruments are amazing, but if he completely ignores a perspective customer because they can't pay RIGHT then, he's not gonna keep them interested. i don't wanna to start an argument or anything, just telling my story.

I don't recall the email you're referring to because I get a lot and it's been 3 months.

After you told me you weren't interested becasue of the lack of cash did you have further questions? If I keep emailing you, IMO, it would seem like I'm hunting you for a sale. I appologize if you had further questions and I didn't reply but I don't wean to seem like I'm hounding anyone for business.

Just wanna weight in: I spoke to Nino online two summers ago about help with my warmoth... just asking questions, not for anything special. He actually offered to come to BK from SI (ok, not a long trip but still tolls both ways and HE came to ME). He helped me out a lot, and I can attest to how nice his work is. Anthony taught me how to solder and no doubt saved me from more than a few mistakes on my warmoth, which BTW is a deluxe five and is definitely my baby. Guy has a great attention to detail and more importantly if you look at what he's done so far a REAL eye for finding good color and wood combo's.

Not that Nino needs defense... most on this board know what a good guy he is, but I figured he wouldn't mind me tellin my story.

i DID NOT AND WOULD NOT say anything bad about Nino, i've seen his basses they're fantastic looking (and i've heard the same about how they sound), and besides i did want 2 and still do!(winks at nino) i totally understand where you're coming from now as far as not wanting to hound me, and also i can understand the amount of emails you get, your basses look top notch, and i'm sure they sound fantastic. i still want to buy two basses from you, one fretted and one fretless. i'll email about that soon, when i've finally narrowed down what i want! ( so many choices, so little money, haha) anyway, i hope this clears anything up....i don't want the guy i want building my basses to not like me (sort of like why you don't PO your servers at restaurants!) i'm out.
