Double Bass Bass Max EQ/Preamp

Does anyone know of a good EQ/Preamp to use with a Bass Max pickup?

I've had good luck with the Fishman Pro Platinum Bass EQ. Highpass filter, phase reverse, and compressor are very handy.

I use a Presonus Acousti-Q. They're not made anymore, but are still available second-hand.

I've used the K&K Pure preamp that comes with the combo set, and it's been pretty good for me.

I run my bridge mic through the Fishman to the board. The phantom power from the board powers the Fishman, saving on batteries too.
On loud gigs, I run a Rev. solo pickup through the fishman to my amp. Big help achieving tone and fighting feedback.

I used the basic clip-on K&K preamp when I got my Bassmax, but I eventually got a Fishman Platinum and it really made a difference. Highly recommended.

How does fishman sound with bass guitar?

I used to use mine with EB as well with great results. In fact, I used it to bypass my amp's eq. I had an Ashdown combo and ran the Fishman into the Return jack and then ran the DI to the PA.

I think the LR Baggs para-acoustic sounds way better than the K&K and Fishman, even though it is sold as a guitar pre-amp.
