Can't really not put this in here as well... 
It’s a hybrid so carved top for sure. It’s not a Shen, but my seller told me it was constructed at that factory, but under a different brand. Similar to the Kirkland brand situation you see at Costco. I paid $2200 for it at the time in 2010. Great sound and a faithful workhorse!
