Well, he never got fat or stayed in the back so he strongly did things different than usual bass-wise. For me that's almost worth seeing him as an idol.

Then again HE was the guy who CHANGED the game for all of us.
The bass player can be out front....
The bass player can sing lead.......
The bass player can add melodically to the music......
