Bass multi-effects and guitars

Hi

I am a bass player and I use the Boss GT10b multi-effect board. I'm also starting to learn guitar and I don't necessarily want to spend heavy $$ on the guitar version of that unit.

My question: Can the bass effect board be used with a guitar? Any risk to the board or my amp if I do?

Thanks for your knowledge!

You can use a bass multi-effects processor with a guitar. you can use a digitech bp355 with guitar since it has some guitar amp models and a whole lot of guitar distortion effects. you can even use a bass cab model along with a patch that you can create for guitar. I've tried with my guitar and it sounded interesting. right now I have a zoom g2.1nu for my guitar and a zoom b2.1u for my bass. just to let you know, I'm mainly a bass player, but I also play guitar. particularly rhythm guitar. I record music with my band.
