Bass neck?

Im trying to decide which neck to put on my bass project. Im looking for something inexpensive and currently stuck between a mighty mite neck and the essex neck with block inlays can anyone add their 2 cents? i havent been able to find alot about the block neck only one or two threads.

I picked up one of the SX Fivers and was stunned HONESTLY stunned at how well it was built. The grain pattern wasn't that great, but the fit and finish were MUCH better than what I would have expected for the price. I would also look at those "eden" necks that are for sale on eBay. I picked up a strat neck and was very happy with it.

anyone else have a suggestion? i looked at carvin but im really a fan of the fender style headstock.

You can buy them with blank headstocks ready to cut but I think they are all angled. The nice thing about the carvins are standard ebony fretboards. I built a bass around their neck-thru and love the neck profile, very comfy.
