Tough to tell with the video demos. I just want a subtle to moderate type of overdrive/distortion sound. Not looking for crazy wacked out fuzz, but rather something that can get a great sweet overdrive/distortion for recording and a sound (to be dertermined) for a "always on" type of dirt that comes through the mix for 50's. 60's, 70's, 80's cover stuff of rock, r&b, motown, etc.
I think you'd like the VMT better. You didn't go up into the 90's or any harder stuff, which (to me) is where the B3K excels. If you wanted to do some Tool, Rage Against The Machine, Faith No More...I'd say B3K. Otherwise, go with the VMT.
