Yeah, the spacing from the bottom of the string to the top of the body was big, so I had a clear kind 1/4 "pick guard" cut to make the distance normal Jazz Bass feel.

And no, no more pics really of the G&L.

Interesting pic and what a lot of windings! Personally I keep a pair of pliers hand when I'm changing strings - 3 times 'round the post does me!

Keeps the string at the bottom of the peg... a good thing, especially on a non-tiltback headstock.

I always make sure I get a loop over the string to do that. Too much work for me that way(!) but each to their own. If we all did it the same way life would be boring!

The darkness was one of the things I especially liked about it
