These are AMAZING! Could you shed some light on making your bass look like it's floating in space? I know a lot of luthiers like Sadowsky and Nordstrand do it which their basses and it looks amazing.
 
There are a couple of ways to do it photoshop being one of them, for example:

When the background of an image is of a uniform color you can use the magic wand tool to select and then use the paint bucket tool to fill in with the color of your choice, in this case I used black.

You can also control the lighting and use a black background when taking the photo. Usually this is done with strobes i.e. of camera flashes or other lighting and the exposure is adjusted to get the desired effect.
