hi. I’m new to this forum and this may have already been discussed. I’ve had a subscription to Bass Player magazine since it started and have kept all the issues. Sometimes I want to find a transcription but have no idea what issue it was in. Has anyone ever published a directory of the transcriptions and what issue they appeared in?

Sorry, but I’ve never seen one posted here. Your best bet is probably to contact Bass Player themselves and see if they’ve ever made such a list.

They did recently go through a transition where they combined with Bass Guitar magazine- perhaps the new management has kept an archive of them.

I've been a subscriber since the start...I do appreciate the struggle to keep the magazine afloat....but under the new owners
it's really become trifling....you compared it to "Circus"...I was thinking "Tiger Beat", so we're obviously of the same generation..... not even sure I'll bother re-subscribing.

....latest Bass Player just arrived (March 2019).
The "STAR BASS" feature: Each month the work of an acclaimed bassist is celebrated. This month, it is Abe Laboriel. Certainly a worthy choice.

One album is cited for "Cool Grooves"...the album is The Dude, the '80s album from Quincy Jones.
"Ai No Corrida", "The Dude", & "Betcha Wouldn't Hurt Me" are mentioned as "incredible stuff".

My LP & cd liners have Louis Johnson as the bassist on these tunes (I mean, Duh!)...anyone disagree?
This is as bad as the Paul Chambers cover debacle.
