Bass Player Pic Haters

I think this problem is a self-fulfilling prophecy... if you believe that nobody ever pays attention to the bass player, you will never be able to capitalize on the attention that you could be getting. Personally, I have never felt like I had any difficulty carving out my own niche on stage or in the media. If you feel like your profile in the band is too low, ask yourself what kind of image you project outside of the band. Do people gravitate towards you in social settings? Are you interesting in general? If not, then maybe the problem isn't which instrument you have chosen.
I played football for most of my life so I generally apply things to football. Bassists are like offensive lineman without us the running back and quarterback (guitarist, vocals, etc) would be nothing but we aren't the ones getting congratulated after a touchdown.

YEAH
I get alot of coverage in our photos and stuff, probably because im always jumping around and being pretty insane/stupid (Ie. Headbanging to Wheatus - Teenage Dirtbag.) I also tend to run over the guitarist and things like that so i get in alot of pics that way.
