Thanks for the history! I remember seeing the Plush amps back then, and the Earth amps....and buying a Peavey solid state guitar amp with a 4x12 cabinet (that my mom co-signed the loan for!)

I had one of those Peavey 15 Cabs for a while. It was indestructible and I'm sure it's still out there waiting to process a signal.

The older I get, the more respect I have for old Peavey, Kustom (tuck & roll), Acoustic, and now Earth equipment. Wouldn't want to lug one around for every gig, but I'll gladly plug into one on the backline.

The very first working band I was in, circa 1978 or so, one of the members had an old Earth PA head or something like that. I don't recall using it frequently, IIRC it didn't sound like much, but then nothing much ever sounded all that good back then.

We had bought a second hand no-namo PA system from someone that sounded better, so we used that thing for a couple of years. I can't remember the brands on those components but I doubt they'd ring a bell for most. Sounded pretty good for those days, though.

GrandPa's was a Midwest discount store that was a little trashy. Amp was a little noisy, but I still sounded like me.... plus I didn't have to carry it and I didn't get electrocuted.

Sorry for the crappy photo...there was dim light, thick smoke, loud loud music...plus a couple beers.

Funny thing is that your phone took the picture as if it had drunk a couple beers aswell!
Seriously, it really looks like that, i can't watch it and don't laugh, sorry!!! ;)
