bass preamp pedal with gnarly fuzz drive

i'm looking for a bass preamp pedal to run into an IR loader pedal that I already have for direct use.

the only requirements:
  • a wet/dry blend knob
  • ability to dial in pretty gnarly drive on it's own (think octave up fuzz kinda drive)
  • needs to be a preamp pedal vs a straight up OD/distortion/fuzz pedal (i.e. will pair well w/ my IR loader to still sound somewhat amp like)
i have Ampeg/SVT-style drive pretty well covered with my VT Bass DI pedal, so looking for something on the wilder end of the spectrum from that.

any recommendations?

If you can get one, the Wounded Paw Battering Ram is incredible! They're hard to find, but the HX Stomp has a sim of it, so use that. Hell, the HX Stomp is the smart to every question "what pedal". Home - Jason Shimmy

The battering ram lets you blend overdrive and fuzz (with an optional octave switch) giving huge flexibility, the ability to cut through the mix, and everything from subtle saturation to wild fuzz dreams! It's one of my favourite pedals!

My other choice is the EHX Deluxe Bass Big Muff. The crossover switch takes you into hypersonic territory in a very unique way. Also, it's a Black Russian fuzz in a green box, so you get a fantastic bass fuzz with a blend.

If you want gnarly the plasma pedal (or plasma coil with octaves) will do that.
