Bass purchasing advice

Hello, TB forum! I need advice on a bass to get. I'm looking for one that has a treble heavy sound that has an aggressive 'clicky' tone to it that is under $500. Sort of like ...:hiding:..Fieldy. Now, whether he is talented or not aside, I happen to like how that kind of bass sounds and that's what music is about, right? (translation: I didn't make this thread so people could bash Fieldy and talk about how I should stop liking him and get a P-bass or something) I'm not really looking for thump or growl, since I don't really need that kind of sound. So.. in that realm, what do you recommend?

I've gotten a very mid-scooped (as you described as "trebly" or "clicky") tone out of my Schecter Studio 5. The Studios' EMG's are pretty treble biased, if you are looking for something like that. We cover a couple of Korn tunes, so I'll cut my mids to 1/2, boost my bass and treble and "click" away. I dig that tone as well, and the Schecter covers it real good.
