Double Bass Bass restored!!

I got a ton of work done on my bass by the great Thomas Helton in Houston. Top off, all the cracks repaired from the inside, back reset, edges redone, bumpers installed and a new bridge and strings. It is a gigging bass, so I told him not to worry over cosmetics too much!
He reshaped the bass bar and back braces as well. It sounds incredible.

Got it. In your position (not that I ever will be), I would make the same decision.

The work he did on the braces and bass bar opened it was up. It actually easier to play in tune now due to the fuller sound.
