Bass Stand

I have that and it's not my favorite. When I put my P Bass in it,
it applies pressure to the left side before the right side and
the (what I'm guessing are) gears in the top jam and it doesn't
close all the way. There is something screwed up with it.

My favorite stand is a dirt cheap stand from MF. I think I paid
$15 including shipping.

I used to use the Hercules stand, and still do. But the stand I always take to the gig, and travel with, is the K & M Memphis stand. Sort of like the Hercules, but lighter, folds smaller... just like it better.

I normally use a Hercules stands, but lately I've been keeping my Mono Vertigo near me and just popping my bass back in there as a stand. It has such a no-frills design that it doesn't take up much more floor room than a stand.

The design for the feet is very stable, and the arm completely encloses the bass neck, preventing the instrument from going over face first, even if you bump into it pretty hard.

I have a couple of Ultra stands with neck locks. Don't know what model. I've had them for 12+ years.
