Bass string winders

why are there no bass string winders?

Actually I have a winder made specifically for bass key winds. It was given to me by the tech at a local shop no longer in business. I'll have to look at to see if has any mfg info on it and if it does I'll post it.

I have the Planet Waves one. It works great on all size tuners.

My planet waves one is too big. It'd fit fender sized tuners but on my Warwick, which has schaller types at a bit of an angle, it's hard to not hit the next peg while tuning.

Still, I like the planet waves one. If it came in "small bass" I'd buy that size too.

I use my fingers for my bass guitars, (it's not that big a strain) but I used a peg winder for upright. You want to talk about a pain to restring...

The Planet Waves winder is excellent, and has string cutters built in. Saves alot of time and turning.

good old phalanges wind my strings saying that my starter basses pegs where hell stiff my corts have got a good tightness meaning a knock wont send the bass out of tune

The Dunlop Turbo Tune is my favorite, it can be used with either the hand crank or an electric screwdriver.
