Hey,
Don't know how to describe it. I can lay my bass on my bed, all the volume on full, plugged in, and amp is on, and every ten minutes or so I hear this random surge through the speaker. It's almost kind of a "zap" noise and lasts less than a second and goes away. I have noticed it when I'm playing but not as much.
I'm wondering that it's likely the cable, but I also noticed the other day that my volume knob has some static on it when I adjust it very quickly at loud volumes.
My setup is basically what you see in my signature, I have a 20' long 14 AMG cable running from my bass to the VT Deluxe, the RGE-10 is a graphic EQ which is in the effects loops of the VT hooked up with two 1/4" to RCA connectors (the RGE takes the RCA connectors), and then a pretty thin 5' foot 1/4" cable going into (right now) a 10 watt VOX guitar amp.
Anyone have this issue before? Any solutions? I'll try another cable now, and see if that helps.
Matt
