Here's 1st bass-related tattoo that I got last year for my bday. Seen some awesome work in this thread, inspired to get another one!

I'd love a number too please.

I really dont want to come across as a wimp but i've always wondered what getting a tatoo feels like.
Ps. I really want a bass clef on my right shoulder and a treble clef on my left shoulder.

Not wimpy. Legit question. I saw it compared to needles (kind of), and it's not really the same thing. For phlebotomy certification, you get stuck with needles say a dozen times a night four days a week. That's a quick in and out thing, but it's more pain at one time. A tattoo is much less pain but over a longer period of time. It's maybe like someone scrubbing a sun burn with steel wool. Or a sponge? I don't know. It's not that bad. Get a small one on an easy area first (and make sure your blood sugar is good, or you might get light headed).

To me, except for a bit of the coloring in near the outline edging it definatly doesn't hurt much at all. But mine are small, and i have chronic pain anyway. Tripping over a blackberry cane in sandals hurts much more, and for longer than a new tat, IMO

I combined the self playing snake guitar from Funkadelic's 'Hardcore Jollies' album cover with my '73 Jazz bass.

The snake bass looks really good. It has an old school vibe.

It's a baritone sax though. I play a lot of bass lines. Almost qualifies?
