bass through Guitar head

Well, IM BACK!

With a new offer

a 1967 Traynor YGM-1. New tubes, and the guy was specifically looking for a transistor amp with an active in. I sent him an email, and he said he happens to be a fan of Mark IV's so he's interested.

should i go for it?
I mean its got 100watts of tube power.

That's a 2 x el84, 1 x 12" combo; about 20 watts. Useless as a bass amp at anything like real world volumes.

What exactly is the problem with that Peavey?

I played through a vintage Traynor YBA-1 at a medium sized venue last week...of course it was split through being mic'd and my bass was DI'd, but it sounded really really good. As for rehearsal, I use it standalone with the matching 15" cab and it's not really loud enough for the drummer to hear across the room - and if you put the volume over 10 o'clock it'll break up real easy. Sounds sweet at low volume.
