Double Bass Bass to donate to kids' middle school

Wow!! Your offers of support - as well as all of the great advice - are very much appreciated. The card that accompanies this gift to the school will most certainly make mention of the input from this forum.

Jake, I'm actually a ways north of Seattle, so I may be as close to you as I am to Troy, although I am always unclear about cross-border transactions (duty, etc.). Something like a double-bass would be a little hard to hide in the glove compartment :ninja:.

Kind Regards, Dean

I salute you. My band director at my old high school had the money to buy instruments, but never gave one iota of thought to listen to my suggestions when she finally got around to replacing our terrible condition basses. She instead bought a terribly set up SB-80 and it played like a crappy bass guitar. The fact that you're putting so much thought and effort into providing a great instrument for students is awesome, especially since you're doing it completely outside the school system.

Bravo.

The border is pretty easy. Just tell the guys what you are doing and why - sometimes you have to pay some taxes... ;)
