Bass Tourism? (Vegas, Austin)

Here in the PNW we're blessed to have The Bass Shop (The Bass Shop | Selected Used and Vintage Bass Guitars) owned by Chad Beeler, of the now defunct Bass NW, as well as a few nice guitar shops. What places are do-not-miss in your town? I'm especially interested in Vegas and Austin, as I'll be traveling there next week. Any coolusic stores that are "don't miss"? Bass collections/museums to see? Time to brag on your 'hood!

I haven't seen a bass format. In Las Vegas they have medical tourism. Based on the regular tourism, they hope to get high rollers to blow big cash on medical procedures. 98.3% medical winners. 1.7% chance you could win.

Austin Bass Traders is the only Austin boutique store, but a quick peek at their website reveals inventory to be lower than in their heyday.

In Austin, there is Guitar Ressurection, which has Alembic, Ken Smith, Ric, and a few more. Austin Guitar House has Elrick. Austin Vintage Guitar and South Austin Music usually have some interesting used/vintage stuff.

We used to have the Bass Emporium, carrying only high end new and used bass gear. But, alas, they went under.

Me too. I still play my Mag 300 I got from them. I was never happy with their tech/setup work but their basses and gear were just awesome.
