Bass Transcriptions

From the CD booklet:

Strange that there's no obvious bass player listed there like there is for other tracks on the album. Since it doesn't specifically state who played what, maybe one of these people pulled double duty?
That's odd.
I don't think it's one of those musicians. This is played by a professional bass player

Gun to my head, I'd say it's Randy.
Could be. I'm not so familiar with his bass playing

Still haven' t found any info
Wikipedia has an entry for the single, but no mention of a bass player

Credits adapted from the album Whitney Houston liner notes.

  • Whitney Houston - lead vocal
  • J.T. Lewis - drums
  • Yogi Lee - background vocals
  • Ira Siegel - guitar
  • Michael O'Reilly - mixing, engineer
  • Kashif - arrangements, producer
No info on allmusic or Discogs either

Whitney Houston - You give good love | Bass Transcription

I think this is going to be one that is quiet a challenge to figure out. The other day I went so far as to looking into each of the bass players bios and credits. I know this doesn't mean anything, but the only one I found that had any reference to Whitney was Freddie. Probably the best opportunity to get an answer to this is to try and contact them thru social media, of which I don't have any acccounts, or I would have tried that also. Hope you get an answer.

Hi, can you please transcribe this song for me please?

Music starts at ~32 seconds. It's in German if you don't mind. I love the bassline, but I can't transcribe by ears and I can't find any tabs online.

The bassist is Ray Weber. He plays a badass looking Sandberg California VS Passive.

The album "In between" has always been one of my favorite albums. A little while ago someone sent me an email requesting a transcription of this song from the Album "Belle et Fou". I had never heard it before, but loved it immediately.
This isn't about technique or complex harmony. Feel is what matters here.
