Bass under 600$

Hello.I know there have been similar threads, but I want this to be a bit more personal,so please help me out.

Of course I'm looking for used basses, but in my country ebay doesn't really work so my options are narrowed.

I would like a new main and I'm sorry to say ,I absolutely won't be able to save up more than 600$.Basically I'm interested in anything that's a steal,a.k.a. it's worth more than it's price.

My idea would be a Peavey Cirrus BXP,but as a high schooler even that would be a bit too much(even for christmas).I've also heard great things about high end squiers and even ibanezes (sr400 I think).I'd really like a nice slap tone,my current bass is suffering from a lack of high ends, which isn't very pleasant for my ears.

Thanks.

Sorry,I forgot about this part.I don't want to upgrade it as it's a 5stringer and I've had enough of it.Not only I never use the 5th sting, the strings are too close to each other and my thumb doesn't like this. Also I have a hummbucker with a tone and a volume knob and I rather have more control over the tone.

+1 for the SR500 ;)

As you know I owned a Spector Legend - I sold it the second I got the SR :) the Spector has a nice tone, crystal clear, with lots of high mids, but compared to the SR it sounded very thin. I don't know what those guys at Ibanez did, but they sure nailed it on this bass ;)

SR400 is a very nice bass too, but IMO it's not in the same league with the 500.

Of all the basses that I owned, I truly regret selling just the SR500 I had. Monstrous bass for the price ;) Coming to think of it, I'd trade my current BTB770PB for a mint SR500, hehe!

PS: Yup, EBay sure sucks around our parts, man...we're missing a lot of good deals because of our location...pfff...damn that "shipping only in US", huge overseas transport costs and EU taxes :(
