+1 on both above i know if i got a louder amp my guitarist would just turn up again
No effect would really help that by boosting the volume. Just turn up the volume on the amp. Some other things might help you to cut through a bit more though. How do you EQ? Try boosting the mids a bit. A compressor might work as well.
If I need to, I can unleash a deep roar similar to a tornado.... it's great!!![]()
so here's the deal me and my band played live yesterday for the first time. Everything was perfect but my bass volume was not enough. So I'm going to buy an effect to boost my volume but i don't know what type of effect i should buy for that.
Not to sound stupid, but wouldn't boosting the level before the input just cause undesireable preamp distortion. Wouldn't turning the amp volume up make it louder, while maintaning clean?
