bass wah

Tim Commerford uses two Dunlop 105Q Bass Wah pedals. This has actually been asked and answered many, many times on here. I'd suggest doing a search for the "pedalboards of the stars" thread if you'd like to know what his signal path was (RATM / Audioslave) / is (RATM).

yes.... he used to use two... but i recall recently he's been seen using a SINGLE 105q

I wouldn't say it's impossible... Just insinuate yourself into his roadies crew... and "borrow" his gear while he is sleeping... :ninja::ninja::ninja::ninja::ninja::ninja::ninja:
On a more serious note... I wouldn't worry too much about trying to perfectly get his tone, if you can get close enough,
nobody will really notice. :hiding:

I think the secret to Timmy C's sound is that every time you hear him, its alittle different (for example, in this Calm Like a Bomb vid, his wah's bass is different than I've ever heard it). So if he doesnt even copy his OWN sound, why would anyone else want to? I'd go with similar concepts to him and develop your own sound, rather than chasing after an exact replication.
