bass xciter or sonic stomp?

What are the main differences between those two pedals?
AFAIK, both are used to enhance frequencies, but I'm a bit confused about the "aural" stuff and all those names, so, can anyone tell me?

I am not sure about the differences, but I have to tell you that the one pedal on my board that I can't do without is the BBE Sonic Stomp. The way this pedal makes my bass sound is incredible! I highly recommend it.
