I was wondering if it would be OK to put a bass into a guitar head to a bass cabinet? I like the distortion om my Fender head
I've done this. Jazz Bass > Ampeg V4 > Ampeg 810E

As did Chris Squire with his RM1999 into AC30 cabinets.Sir Paul used to run his violin bass into a Vox guitar amp back in the day.

Which specific video were you referring to? I see a bunch on there.Celestion produced a video that definitively answers the question, so far as I'm concerned.

To be fair, the V4 and V4B are almost identical amps.I've done this. Jazz Bass > Ampeg V4 > Ampeg 810E
Man, you must be in a really quiet band to use that amp.Hey guys. New around here.. I've decided to fill in the shoes of the Bass for a friend's band, and I've never played it before. Now, I have at home an small study Orange Crush 20W Guitar amp.
I've read the thread and got mixed opinions. It seems that at really low volumes it'd be safe for the amp for a couple of months?
Wot Jimmy said. Unless you meant practicing solo at home. You're better off starting your own standin bassist thread so we can set you right, without all the OP noise.Hey guys. New around here..
