Basses with diagonal offset frets

Here's a pic of my 6 string Dingwall,this is one of my favorite Basses for so many reasons.

I've done three prototype thin bodies. They sounded really good. They might be a little too light weight though. I've got to work on the balance. Cases are another consideration too. Obviously keeping the body thickness down makes case choices much easier.

Hmm, what about maybe using more dense woods in the body for the thinner versions?
