My Pat Wilkins Custom Classic P based on an exact copy of '65 Fender is definitely a permanent keeper. I truly love playing this bass. Made of 60 year old Alder for the body and 80 year old maple for the neck. Rosewood for the board is even older. Amazing resonate qualities even when not plugged in.

to the OP: i have a warmoth jazz that i started to build a few months after i started playing and an ibanez 5 string my dad got me for my 20th birthday. if worse came to worse and the tax man came knocking on my door i would sell every other piece of gear i own before id even think about getting rid of those.
