Who currently keeps the bottom on Saturday Night Live?

Also, does anyone know the rest of the band - I know Leon Pendarvis is the Musical Director but other than that, who's who?

James Genus holds the bass chair for the SNL crew...Not sure about anyone else though

Tim Lefebvre subs on it fairly often I believe,

  4. Lenny Pickett is the tenor sax soloist (and the other musical director, along with Leon). Incredible player, he played with Tower of Power too. A lot of times I'll watch the opening credits of SNL just to hear what he comes up with in his solo...and then I'll change the channel :p

Slightly related: The original bass player for SNL was jazz great Bob Cranshaw. Marcus Miller was there in the early 80s.

My favorite was Tom "T-Bone" Wolk, '86-'92.

The band has always been great. When T-Bone was there along with G.E. Smith, it was a special time indeed.
