Bassist Sub-Forum Rules: You need to read this!

Hello Peoples,


#1.) This section is called "Bassists" and is for the discussion of "Bassists". If you are simply posting a thread linking to a video or audio file that includes a "Bassist" then you are not actually discussing a "Bassist" you are sharing a "Recording".

So Please post them in "Recordings" so we don't move them


#2.) NO VS. THREADS ALLOWED. they may be locked or deleted without notification.

There have been a few 'or' threads recently that violate rule #2 stated above. Please, do not post these threads. They will be deleted. Thank you.

I am going to add to this banned list threads about who is the best. These are just another version of versus or bashing threads. Why? Because as soon as you declare someone the best, you are implying all the others are worse. There is no 'best'. To make such a statement is just trolling.

New forum rule, (and I am surprised I actually need to spell this out): discussion of another bassist's personal appearance is prohibited. This includes physical features, clothing, hairstyle, use of physical assistance devices, and adornments.

Please remember to treat each other with respect. The TalkBass community strives to be a place where everyone is able to come together and discuss what they are passionate about. While doing so, we ask that you please follow a civil decorum. Some reminders are:


- Please do not discuss a bassist’s personal, political, or religious beliefs/views.


- Please do not personally attack individuals. Discussing identifying factors including but not limited to: race, gender, personal appearance, and/or personality traits is not allowed. Labeling people in these ways will not be tolerated.


- Objectifying individuals is disrespectful and will result in disciplinary action. Misogynistic behavior is not acceptable.
