That was uncalled for. I mean, Im not a fan, but I dont judge their choices.
Very small gauges are kinda cool, but only tiny. IMO, of course!
I like big gauges, but I'm not going to do it to myself haha
Like if my ears would shrink back you can bet your sweet bippy I would go to an inch. But alas. My ears would be ruined.

One of my really good friends is a piercer so I get plugs and stretched up for like 5$ including the jewelry. And I would never buy plugs or any body jewelry from hot topic its overpriced and will strip the threads out the first time you try and clean it. So go in to a local tattoo shop and talk to the piercer you will get better quality stuff then hot topic at a way better price.
Um... No need to hate. Some things work better for different people.
I've stretched using only Hot Topic stuff and I'm ok with how much it cost me. I can get two sets of tapers/plugs for about $18. I know that's expensive compared to BodyArtForms but I can't wait for them in the mail haha I popped a size a week when I was stretching.

Huh......And to think people thought I was "freakish" and doing bad things with my Yosemite Sam tattoo and gold-stud earring back in the early to mid 80's (high-school).

But,just one question that I'm curious about.Take no offense,please:
What in God's name will some of you cats do to "repair" your ears,when you are older/decide not to wear those "thingies",anymore??
Don't tell me the human skin has THAT MUCH elasticity.I know better than that.Because I dreamed about being a plastic surgeon one time.
Remember,guys/gals.I'm not dogging ANYONE.Just curious.Wondering if anyone has took THE FUTURE(!!) into consideration.

If I was sportin' those thingies,I'd go REALLY,REALLY big.And develop a slap technique with them by shaking my head back'n'forth really fast.

Last time I tried to shrink them, they got stuck at a size 2 because I did it wrong and the scar tissue hardened into a 0 shaped hole. So I restretched them. I took them out today because I think I finally broke down most of the scar tissue with Vitamin E oil so I might be able to shrink them back to a semi-inconspicuous slit. It could just be hopeful thinking, so I might just leave a few millimeters of hole in my ear or get them surgically repaired.

i'm at 3/4 inch, thinking about going to 1 inch. i only wear natural plugs, wood or stone plugs or tunnels. sometimes i'll wear some steel tunnels. it just doesnt seem right to go through that and then just wear some cheap plastic things to me. also i stretched mine pretty fast. pierced my ears and went up to a 6 in the same day. 2 by the end of the week. i waited a few weeks then went to 00 then using tape went up to 3/4 within about 2 weeks. i went fast, but i still paid attention to what i was doing and i dont have any scar tissue.

Just found this thread again. Bottom line is, stay the $%^& away from Hot Topic. Go to BodyArtForms, and read the forums. Look at the guidelines, and learn what you're supposed to do. Everything BAF sells is better than Hot Topic, period.
Good god people. Don't bash. I stretched with Hot Topic gauges, and I'm fine. I'm sure Body Art Forms are great, just don't hate.
