Bassman Silverface 100 Back Panel

Hello fellow gearheads,

I recently bought a Fender Bassman 100 Silverface from the 70s. Great working condition - but for a dead light. Nevertheless, it's missing the back panel (probably lost many years ago).

Browsing online, I can only manage to find back panels for Blackface Bassmans...

Do any of you where I could find replicas for this amp ?

Otherwise I would have to make one myself, could work also...

Cheers !

You might check with a company like Mather Cab that makes full replica cabs. Although the price list only includes blackface, it says they do silverface as well: [Invalid or Expired Link Removed]

Would be pretty easy to make, use 1/4" plywood and cover with black tolex.

I have a Blackface Dual Showman head with no cab, he makes them for 430.00, that's actually a lot cheaper than the real ones go for and would be even with some speakers, I've seen real ones go for 900.00, I might think about that, nope just found out he makes the smaller ones, the ones I'm used to were almost 4 ft tall.

I wouldn't be surprised if he would make the big ones you like.

Like bobyoung53 said, pretty easy to make. Many years ago, I had a 100 with missing rear panel and did exactly that. It was an exact replica that I covered in tolex as well.

I bought an SVT head years ago with no front grille, it had been lost at the music store where I bought it, I made a grille out of plywood and Ampeg grille cloth, still on there and can't tell the difference unless you take it off.
