Basson Endorsement?

Might be in the wrong forum, dont really wanna drop this into off-topic and lose it forever.

Basson is offering endorsements up the wazzoo it seems like. On their myspace page they have a 12 question survey to fill out and send to them for consideration, so I filled one out for the hell of it. (what could it hurt?)

Anyone had any luck with Basson as a company with their new owner? I talked to the old Sam a couple times and he seemed like a real good dude.

P.S. the new owner's name is Sam McAnally... how else are you supposed to pronounce that?

I have an endorsement with Basson Sound and couldn't be happier with their customer service or their product. I have the 8x10B cabinet and it rips. I was under the impression Victor Basson was still the owner. I actually emailed him about a month back and he replied to me. Am I to learn there is a new owner in that month's time? I always dealt with Shawn Green, and I knew he had already left, but wasn't aware of an ownership change. I've had my endorsement with them for a little over a year now.

Hi,

Victor Basson still owns the company,

By the way, the endorsements up the wazzoo is true. We have seen that areas that we've got our gear on stages that the stores order more for their clients. Hearing is believing.

Looking at the cab specs, I'll venture to say that Basson cabs are for young folks and bands with roadies. 228 lbs for an 810, and 148 lbs. for a 410, is way more than this old man's back is willing to tolerate - no matter how good the sound and the discount is.

+1. After reading the reviews, I must say I'm interested in hearing it, but I've already been considering switching to a lighter setup than what I've been using - SWR WorkingPro 4x10 and 1x15 cabs - which are pretty light to begin with.

110lbs for a 2x10, even spec'd as nicely as this, seems a little crazy. I may just head over to GC and check some of this stuff out.

Unless part of the deal includes roadies... ;)
