Ever get where you think there's something wrong with your bass...and you stew about it all night and then the next day you check it out and the problem doesn't even exist?

Like....yesterday I starting stewing about the 1 1/2 nut width on a bass I own being too narrow all of a sudden and I really need a bass with a wider nut.

Then I got up and went down and played it and had no idea where I came up with that thought.

Two nights ago I laid awake stewing about how the tone on my amp wasn't really what I wanted.
Then I got up the next day and played it and it sounded fine.

Then I was going to get rid of my longscales......because I suddenly hated longscales...but when I
played them the next morning I had no problem and actually liked them....

Gaaaaaad......

Yeah. The solution is obvious: post your ideas here on TB as soon as they come to you.
Within minutes you can hear just how smart(or stupid) they are.
Thus saving you hours of mental anguish.

At last that's what some people do.

Excellent. I'm part of the "instant gratification" culture.....so If I get a response within minutes it's all good.....:thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup:

Advice: don't go to bed just after reading talkbass
